Uruguay… a vibrant, welcoming, exciting land where I was surprised every day I travelled the length and breadth of South America’s hidden secret, perhaps its most remarkable nation…….

This is just a taste though, as coming soon is a The Winetattoo’s URUGUAY WINE TRAIL, stretching across the country discovering not just some wonderful wines and beautiful vineyards, but above all a family of Uruguayan wine makers who immediately made me feel at home, whether in a small family-run winery or one stretching over hundreds of hectares.

Thanks to Inavi, the Uruguay Wine consortium, for organising my trip and Guru’Guay for being the perfect Montevideo guide.
